Hyalase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers. Hyalase is used to dissolve unwanted dermal fillers that have been placed incorrectly or in excess. Please note only hyaluronic acid based fillers like Juvéderm ®, Restylane ®, TEOSYAL ® etc. can be dissolved. Fillers like Sculptra ®, Ellansé ® and Radiesse ® cannot be dissolved using Hyalase as these are not hyaluronic acid based fillers. The treatment price starts from £200 and any top up if required will be an additional £150.
In most of the cases only one treatment is required. However, in a small number of cases more than one treatment may be required.
In most of the cases there is very little downtime. You can resume your daily activities immediately after the procedure.
Side effects include redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising and tenderness at the injection site. These have generally been described as mild to moderate and typically resolve spontaneously or a few days after the injection. Bruising may occasionally be more significant.
Rarely, Anaphylaxis (a severe allergic reaction) which, in itself, is life threatening and requires immediate medical attention. Our clinic is fully equipped to deal with such emergencies.
